Wild Flowers
The term “wild flowers” tends to refer to flowers that are not grown and cultivated in gardens or large commercial hothouses. They are the flowers that you might find in a meadow or on the side of the road. Not that you can’t plant them. In fact, you can buy big bags of seeds that you just throw over a plot of dirt, and the seeds will do the rest of the work. Within a few months, you could have an entire blanket of multi-colored petals of all different heights and sizes. The wonderful thing about those flowers is that they will attract butterflies and birds. You can also pick them and arrange them in vases in your home, but the flowers will continue to seed and grow.
Wild flowers are insanely attractive and beautiful, especially when you are out in the wilderness on walks and hikes. You might be tempted to pick some and bring them home with you, as a sort of souvenir. You should resist that temptation, though. In many areas, it is illegal to pick the flowers. In other areas, it’s not illegal, but it’s pretty rude. If you pick the flowers, then people who hike through after you won’t have a chance to experience the beauty. It’s best to take photographs of the flowers that you find beautiful, and otherwise, try to grow wild flowers in your own yard and garden.
You can also generally order a bouquet of wild flowers from florists, if they are more suitable or appropriate for your needs than other types of cultivated or hothouse flowers.
