Flower Shops
You can find flower shops across the country. There is at least one in every town, and probably dozens in every city. They are everywhere because everybody needs to send flowers at least once, and everybody loves to receive flowers at least once. Flowers are a great gift for courting, for holidays, for birthdays, for sympathy, and for offering congratulations. They are also widely used for apologies. Florists often provide books and displays full of arrangements and bouquets that will fulfill your needs and help you send the message that you would like to send. An arrangement for an anniversary will obviously be completely different than one for a funeral. It might help you to select the one you want if you go into the shop, meet the florist, browse through their offerings, take a good look at their work, and even talk to people in your community who might have used that particular florist in the past.
Working in or owning flower shops is a powerful dream for a lot of people. It might seem like the perfect idea for anybody who loves flowers, but there are a lot of different factors that contribute to a successful shop. You have to have the creativity necessary for flower arrangements and bouquets, but you also have to know how to water plants, feed plants, groom plants, and otherwise keep flowers as fresh and beautiful as possible. You also have to have a head for business, because you will be in charge of many different business decisions, from which flowers to stock to how much to charge for certain items.
